Helpful Resources

This page is a curated list of websites, tools, and products that women with ADHD over 50 may find useful. Everything here is meant as a personal recommendation and for informational purposes only.

Websites & Guidance

ADHD UKhttps://adhduk.co.uk
A UK-based charity providing support, information, and community for adults with ADHD.

You may find it useful to read the NHS guidance on NHS patient choice: your right to choose where you’re referred, which explains what options are available if your facing long waiting times, for example. https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/about-the-nhs/your-choices-in-the-nhs/

Supplements & Wellness Tools

For Clean Premium UK Manufactured Supplements, you could take a look at British Supplements. If you subscribe to their newsletter, you get very informative updates by email. Top Tip: view the customer reviews to see which products customers use for ADHD symptoms, as the website is not allowed to advocate supplements for specific symptoms because of UK pharmaceutical legislation. Some to research further may be Ashwagandha, Lions Mane, Magnesium, Mucuna 99% L-Dopa, Alpha GPC. But you need to do your own research and see what works for you as I can’t give medical advice or endorse supplements – https://www.british-supplements.net/

Mindfulness / Brain training apps – Apps like Headspace, Calm, or Lumosity may help with focus and stress management.

Personally, I find that staying hydrated throughout the day, getting fresh air and exercise (walking the dog in my case) every day, eating whole-food/cooking from scratch regularly and avoiding caffeine after midday is my baseline. I also use a vitamin D3 supplement in winter and to help with sleeping I have a magnesium spray to use when I need it.
